Tubing expander question

#1
I'm fabricating a new exhaust sytem for a bike out of 1"I.D steel tubing. There will be a few areas where I will need to joint the pipe together.
I found this device on Ebay that will expand steel tubing ( I plan on heating the the tubing up) and wonder if any of you have used this tool?
I do not want to spend hundreds of bucks on a hydraulic expaner that gets used once-in-a-blue-moon.

Looks pretty light-duty. Lots of A/C tube is thin walled. How about making an expanding mandrel to fit? Make one with a long taper, like a Morse taper or Braun and Sharpe. Might require a few practices on scrap and re-positioning a few times. Automotive tail pipe expander kits start at 1 1/8”.
just a thought.
