So im getting ready to fire up my MTD Trailflight but I have a torque converter question. Does this look like the original torque converter??? If so what size belt does it use?? The numbers on the belt thats on it I can see are 54162. It’s a process...measure your driven pulley...measure center to center of driver send driven ....call belt palace give them your numbers or check this information out that’s available online with a google search.... 27FC7EE1-7C10-4CAC-8A58-577707555372.png

Ive measured everything on both my bikes. Both have 6 inch pulleys My MTD is 8 3/4 center to center and my Sportstyl is 8 5/8 center to center . My question is should I use a 20 series??? And if I use a 40 series what will the difference be??? Thanks

you can't use a 40 series, belt is too wide. also your set up looks like a 5/8" wide belt, not 3/4". Which means it's a TC88 style belt 203582 i think

You mean the one from the pics I posted??? That one measured 8 3/4 center to center with a 6 inch pulley and you're saying it'll take a 5/8 inch belt?? Thanks for the help.
