You're making me drool...
That's gotta be some clean sound coming from that system.
Get great sound from your PC for $100! Put the subwoofer under your desk, speakers on the desk separated as far as possible, plug in power, plug into PC, set bass at 50% to start, turn it on and be amazed at the sound you get. Don't be fooled by the size of the satellite speakers, they rock! I rarely exceed 50% volume. Don't forget you can tweak the sound on any Windows PC (I don't know about others), look for Realtek Audio Console (or similar). I used the Logitech Z-2300 for years, it lost the left channel after much heavy use. I was disappointed to learn it had been discontinued. I got the Z623 and was a little disappointed in that the subwoofer didn't "bump" as hard as the Z-2300's sub. The Z-2300 sub weighs more than the whole Z623 system. I used a splitter to connect the Z-2300 sub, using both subs (each has its own built-in amp). The Z-2300 sub can rattle everything, windows, anything hanging on walls, coat hangers in closets, etc., even at low volume. Over the last several years, I've gotten over the mega-bass thing and rarely use the Z-2300 sub; the Z623 sub is enough for me, now. I've bought Z623s as gifts for family and friends who were very pleased with them; one friend's wife doesn't like them... because she can hear the music coming from the man cave in the basement! My Z623 has been going strong for nearly 6 years, used every day, extensively.

I don't have it but I imagine it's fantastic. Logitech has several other speaker options.
I like Logitech products in general; I use a Logitech illuminated keyboard and wireless mouse with my desktop PC, plus another wireless mouse with my laptop.
I used to have something similar to
@ZR9B 's system, bought in the '70s, big 3-way Pioneer speakers w/ 12" woofers, etc. That was followed by a couple more systems. It's been several years since I switched to a PC for music, it's just so much more convenient. I used to buy CDs; I would stick a CD in the PC one time to rip it at highest quality (giving me a music library on the PC), then I would copy the music to a Verbatim Store 'n' Stay USB flash drive for use in vehicles (they only protrude about 1/4" from head unit face-plate). Now, I'm so lazy that I mainly stream music.
