Rupp mini bike but what model?

#1
I just got this Rupp & am trying to determine what is it’s original model. Someone painted it red but there is original blue underneath. It has this Tecumseh h50 motor wide body so it points me to the 1969 Rupp Digger. If the engine is original.
Based on the engine numbers would this engine have been from 68-69? Tecumseh model h50-35372H serial 8133. 06597.
The only other blue I could find is the 1968 Rupp C350 but it came with a 3.5 hp.
What is odd is it has this bracket by the back tire for a scrub brake?? And there is no other rear brake.

Any help is appreciated.

Engine appears to be a fairly early 1968.

Yep, one piece forks/bars, if that's the original engine, 1968 C-500. Not seeing what you are on the scrub brake question?

It is definitely a 1968 Rupp. Rear bracket on jackshaft tube is the rear fender mount. You are missing the Rear disc brake set up.
Your engine model number is H50-65172H if you look at it closer. I think the C-500 is probably correct.

I agree. it's a 68 C500

The bracket pictured above is the rear fender mount. This model would have used the small diameter fenders.

The brake calipers pop up on Ebay pretty regularly, but can be expensive

Thank You all for your time & info.

Looking at the photos of the rear disc brake in the Rupp C-500 brochure. Is the caliper also the sprocket or am I seeing it wrong?

The reason I thought the bracket could be a scrub brake set up is I have another Rupp c-350 I have restored minus engine & brakes, that had this scrub brake on it when I got it. I never changed it or rode it like this. It always looked shaky to me & now I know it is.

Rupp only used a scrub brake on their bikes that had no rear suspension. Like the 1965-66 Econo-cycle, 1967-68 C-220 Cub, 1969-70 Chopper and the 1971 Rascal. The bracket you have the scrub brake bolted to is for the rear fender.
