The Nova was first built around 1962. The first 670 had a tecumseh 6hp motor, the first tote gote to have a tecumseh. They made this change because tecumseh had a lighting coil to run lights, but the system didn't work so well so by the 675 model, they went back to Briggs and Stratton.
