I've expressed my personal opinion before on how much I hate to see a vintage mini-bike frame, of any kind, with a Chinese engine on it. I would never do it, but I did break down and order a repop carb for the Briggs engine on my '67 Tote Gote. I bolted it on and the engine started on the second pull. I turned the adjusting screw back and forth a little looking for the sweet spot, but it probably wound up back pretty much where it was to start with.
Now I need to replace the throttle cable. The one I have doesn't work well, and I don't think it's the original. I plan to completely restore the Gote this winter. So far I have new handle bar grips, new rear tire, and new belt. It is a model 680 so there is no chain.
