Massimo Warrior mb 200 Mods question

Questions about moding Massimo Warrior 200 Beginner
Hi guys new to this sub had been looking on it before I decided to get the mini bike.
https://www.massimomotor.com/MB-200

I have few questions on mods.

I want to mod the bike but do not want overly complicated altering like grinding, welding, cutting. I do not have tools for it too. Based of research I found I could add torque converter, air filter change, carburetor, sprocket.

I have stock engine do I need to change it to predator 212 or it is sufficient if I add other mods.

Which comet torque converter or centrifugal clutch do I buy?

Will it require any modifications to fit? I saw TAV one required change. There is also 30 or 40 option which one do i choose?
https://www.monsterscooterparts.com...r-kit-for-predator-6-5-hp-8-0-hp-engines.html
Is it 3/4" or 1"?

What sprocket to buy? Is 60 teeth good?

What modified air intake jet to buy?
Does this include all of it
https://www.monsterscooterparts.com...5-mb200-baja-heat-mini-baja-baja-warrior.html
What is the cloth cover which everyone has on there? Is it needed?

What exhaust header pipe should I buy?

I don't want to make it louder so I can add muffler. Right now the bike is too loud and I hear some rattling metal noise I need to check what it is and maybe tighten everything. Is there any mod I can do. I bought it from store where they tightened and all.

What carburetor to buy?
Do I need high end or any from amazon can work

Is there any speedometer/odometer that can fit?

Back light ?

Turn Signal?

Do I need this?

How about the rear suspension? Is there a mod available.
Can I just use this spring or it will not work?

Thanks desert. I think this is great that the forum have these rules to prevent any unforseen risk. I am fine not modding the governor. This brings another question do I need predator engine? What advantage it brings from this? The 196h to 212hp is this different.
For the torque converter will I need to do cutting and all.

You have to decide what you want to use it for first and how much you are willing to spend (then add a grip more to that number). I did a car that was worth 200.00 on a good day, a daily driver/fun car. When i got done its a trailer queen that i don't use. I love what I have but I miss what I had. I know they are a few brits on here that can appreciate the work on this one. That's what can happen if you don't set a plan and stick to it.

Isn't this a brand new bike? Why do you think you need a new engine? The advantage of a stock 212 over a stock 196 is a little more torque.

You need to check out videos of bikes with a similar frame that you have. From what I can tell from a picture you will have to cut to install a torque converter.

Is the bike's frame in this video similar to yours?

Swapping a 212 for a 196 isn't worth it. There are a ton of mods available for the 196 since it's been around for a long time.

One thing to be aware of with the 196 is what shaft size it has. It'll either be 3/4" (easy to get a TAV for) or 5/8" (not as easy). I have no idea which one the MB200 comes with.

If you think the bike is too loud in stock form, don't even think about modding the exhaust. An open header is loud and the RLV silencers don't do much to quiet them down. Using the old style screw on mufflers is kind of pointless. Just stick with the stock muffler at that point.

I absolutely abhor the stock carbs on these engines. The 22mm Chikuni (knock-off Mikuni) is 100% worth it as far as I'm concerned. The one big downfall of installing one of them is that you can no longer run the governor. To be safe, you need to run a billet rod and a PVL or Billet flywheel at that point. You do need to take the engine down to the bare case to install the billet rod and fully remove all the governor components. It's not that hard and you need to have an inch lbs torque wrench and 1/4" 12pt socket for installing the billet rod. Other than that, no special tools are needed. A ring compressor makes getting the piston back in a bit easier. You do need a set of feeler gauges to set the valve lash.

Its 3/4 https://www.massimomotor.com/MB-200
Do I need to do all that cutting?

Does even installing carb require the removal of governor?

What billet fly wheel and rod I need?

If you decide to run one of the Mikuni style carbs you can not run the governor with them. The governor is designed to only work with the stock carburetor setup.

When it comes to the flywheel and rod and a bypassed/removed governor... Required? No. Highly, highly recommended? Yes.

The stock rod and flywheel in these engines are designed to stay at the 3600rpm that a governed engine will run at. With stock valve springs you can run a bit north of 5000rpm with the governor removed/bypassed. The billet rod and flywheel are also lighter than the stock pieces. Beat on the stock pieces for too long and you can have catastrophic failure. An exploding flywheel can do some damage.

Billet rod: https://www.gopowersports.com/performance-billet-connecting-rod-for-clones/

Billet flywheel: https://www.gopowersports.com/arc-billet-flywheel-196cc-212cc-tillotson-gx200/

or... https://www.gopowersports.com/sk200-slipstream-billet-flywheel-196cc-212cc-tillotson-gx200/

You will get better cooling with the ARC one. I prefer the looks of the Slipstream flywheel though.

Thank you! Is this one Mikuni https://www.monsterscooterparts.com...5-mb200-baja-heat-mini-baja-baja-warrior.html
if not I can just use this one?

Can this flywheel do the work and safely? https://www.monsterscooterparts.com/baja-mb200-flywheel.html I dont know what rod goes in

That's a no on both of those. I gave you links to what will work for you.

That Monster Scooter Parts site won't have anything you need. Don't even bother looking there for stuff.
He mentioned a 60 tooth sprocket. If he does decide on one this would be the place to get it. With shipping I paid $28. Everyone else is $40 plus for a 60 tooth. I will get another one from them if I decide to put a TAV on my stock Coleman. Nice sprocket.

Thanks. Not able to follow along why not to look at the site from there. I will buy wherever is affordable and cheaper. I am ok to spend but trying to keep it under the price of bike. I know you share the tools with best of interest in mind.

I am just riding this in neighborhood.

Before you get a rod and flywheel you need to decide on whether you are going to use a torque converter or not. With a torque converter you will not have the concern of running higher than governed RPM. Then there is no need for a rod a flywheel. If you stay with the stock jackshaft and get a Mikuni style carb then you would need the rod and flywheel.

You could have a much nicer bike with just a stage 1 kit and a torque converter.

for what it's worth..
i am 70 years old.
i only neutralize the governor.

i do not take anything off the engine or open the engine up..

as long as i have used the stock carb and used a return spring for the carb throttle i have had no troubles.
not broken a fly wheel or floated a valve or blown an engine.
again i leave them stock except for neutralizing the governor

my baja warriors will get up to 40 mph...that is the 196 cc engines i also am kind big in excess of 250 lbs.

right now i have 4 working baja's and 4 more i am working on.
i have had countless of these bikes

40 mph is fast enough for me and any faster you out grow the brakes..

.i find that the sell easier if they are stock and seem to be more reliable ..

Okay. Thanks for sharing. Some of the posts make me afraid to remove the governor. It is a risk. Be careful. It is not honda so i would be careful in putting my bet.

I beg your pardon but I have a difficult time believing "up to 40 mph". Are you using the stock jackshaft and gearing with a stock engine?

Do those bikes have a 10 tooth clutch, 20-10 tooth jackshaft and a 50 tooth? If so it would take more than 7000 RPM to get to 40 mph on a 19 inch tire. Probably 7200. Valve float should happen much sooner preventing that kind of RPM and road speed.
