Tecumseh H50

#1
Doing a restore on an old Tecumseh H50. This has bearing retainers on it. I have never come across them before. Anyone have any insight on them, adjustment and installation. Can't find much help online. DSCN3214.JPG DSCN3216.JPG DSCN3215.JPG

they should be installed on the cover slightly loose before installation, loose enough to rotate with a little play but not enough to rotate past the cast in indentation and spin all the way around. Tighten nuts to 15-22 inch-pounds once you have rotated 1/4 turn clockwise to lock behind the bearing when the cover is installed. the information will be in every Tecumseh L head repair manual that covers the medium frame engines.
