But to answer your question, your Tote Gote originally came with a 4 hp Briggs engine. As indicated by the first digit of the model numbr. If you can find another old Briggs engine between 4,5, or 6hp from the 60's-early 90's it will fit right in. The shaft must fit the clutch

Hi there folks i have a an issue wonder if I can get some imput. I have a tote gote 404 and i thought that i could fit a predator 212cc on it , well that won't fly.so the question is: what should I use Briggs 3,4,5,6 Hp any thoughts ?
