This is not a tapered shaft but it was more than 3/4", had no keyway, and it was to short to mount a clutch inboard. I solved it buy running the engine with a peice of sandpaper against the shaft. It took awhile but eventually reach 3/4". Then i drilled and tapped the crank shaft with my drill...

Yeah, just use a hair dryer to heat up the sticker a bit and it will peel off.
