thats pretty cool , like the suspension forks ! i picked up a 212 predator engine 6.5 hp engine on sale at harbor frieight for 100$ great engine starts on first pull and lots of torque
yes i shortened mine by 2 or 3 i believe ! made a template and drilled the plate myself , new clutch , throttle hook up is straight forward on the predator , add gas and enjoy
i have seen that one , the seat looked a litle out of place but the rest looks fairly original , 300 seems reasonable but as stated with it being for sale for quite some time i bet you could get him down , now if it was a trail buck i would be all over it
throttle hookup on the predator is a simple task ! they have a provision to clamp the cable , a set screw for the inner cable , just back off the pivot screw till its loose enough the spring returns it on its own !
i think you'll be pleased with the swap and decide against needing either ! i did the swap and put the predator 212 in mine , i weigh 240 and it scoots , first time out i cracked the throttle and it came right out from under me
my buddy has one and i'm working on getting another ! made in cascade iowa ! his has a title that you could buy and is street legal ! he also just found the front tire ski acessory that you could put on for winter fun ! the one im looking at is green and has a title also , his is red ! fun bike...
had my metal motorsports rivet for a little over a couple months now after trading some labor for it to a friend who bought it new half off due to a tag that said bad carb ! he never could get it running ! after dissasembling the carb i found some idiot had drilled down half through the jet...
thanks for the video very helpful ! gonna be a breeze it looks like , just not sure whether i'll cut mine or go ahead and order the black spring ! i got the bike for free after a friend bought it half off from the local rarm store , it had a tag stating carb problems ! he took it a couple places...
is this a nationwide sale or just local ? i cant seem to find any info as to this sale , theyre listed at 149 $ when i go to their site ! i deff wanna do the swap and this would be a great time to get one
well me being the cheap ass i am , decided to see if it could be saved ! so i mc gyvered it and she runs like a top ! chased out the remaining threads on the carb , bought a 7 mm bolt washer and ruber washer at the hardware store and hot glued the hole shut in the carb float ! total investment...
ya i know i was hoping someone on here had one theyd let go cheap from their old engine after they did the 6.5 swap ! i don't think thats a bad price but when i'm planning on doing the predator 6.5 engine swap and the new motors only 100 i don't feel like spending a third of that on a carb that...
you know the more i look at it the more i think your right ! almost looks like it was a poorly cast 7 mm bolt the head twisted off on and then some dips#t thought i know lets drill and tap a 1/4 20 in for god knows what reason ! like i say they drilled off center and through half of the jet...
