Rupp only used the balloon type Tecumseh engine decals. On the 1970 Rupp engines it did not have a HP designation.
A fine metallic silver semi gloss paint was used on the 1970 only engines for Rupp. You should be able to find a Rustolium spray paint to fit the bill.
1968 would have a rear disc brake. 1965-67 would have the 5" Bendix drum brake. Tank should have a vertical seam. Foot peg location did change but not known if it was exactly at the end of 1967.
They snap into the square holes in your clutch cover.
mchadsey1 is confused about which bracket you are using.
The black one he has photos for is for mounting the plastic torque converter cover on 1970 to 1975 Rupps.
The chrome one is for mounting the chrome clutch cover to 1964-1969 and later...
What is the first for the HS50 engines ? Did they ever have a metal ID plate or were they stamped on the top of the blower housing?
I know later ones had a decal with the ID info on them. Thanks
