I have a West Bend 820. My motor builder told me to run 32 to one bottle of Castrol to 2 gallons of gas.

What’s a good gearing I’m running 14x 72 top speed 32

Any 820 owners out there want to chime in on gearing that be great a lot

I am using a little bigger head gasket and also a decompression button so I can pull start it. It might be my gearing running a 14/72

If I pulled the cover, can I remove that and cap itt or is it best just to leave it

I plugged this copper engine when I got it, it just had a hole there I assumed they took off a pulley for the tiller.

On my black engine, the center of that support spins around the little round collar on the side plate the very middle.. on my copper 5 hp that was open when I got it so I just put a plug in it and I missing something on my copper engine on the inside of the engine

This is my rupp rascal with a 820 Westbend. Not super fast, but it’s super fun about 32 miles an hour I think.

I had a blast today . I had four separate parts come loose. The set screws on my jack shaft gears kept coming loose. I’m gonna have to blue lock tight them. The black engine is new to me. Someone else put the exhaust on that fell out. I had to put it on a little tighter, but overall it was a win..

Motor runs good I could use a tiny bit more power waiting on a pipe

I had to get this thing tuned up, but it’s running pretty good. Took it for a little rip around the neighborhood. Need to tighten the chains now.

My throttle cable is attached direct to carb accelerator by passing governor. Do I need to anything to these parts can I remove them ?

I found this black motor this morning.Saving copper motor for another build. I would feel better painting this black one over the copper but I think the black looks good. I don’t want it to polished looking I want a more survivor look with some used cleaned up parts and this fits.

Looks a little better outside but silver or grey would look good
