To me,that looks to be more like a 4HP or 5Hp Briggs that's on it now as look at the height of the engine and the distance between the top of the engine and the top of the frame. I probably have a period correct looking 2.5 HP Briggs if you end up wanting to go that route with it.
Look at the serial number stamped into the frame to help determine the year. I'm pretty sure it only would of had a Briggs if its a '69 or possibly early '70. Either way a period correct HP engine Briggs or Tecumseh shouldn't be too hard to find. I would put it back to original if it were mine.
Every one I've tried so far pretty much stretches right away and fairly easy (I'd say mainly due to how small it is) but I'm using it for original application therefore I don't want to go to a bigger size.
Yes probably mainly for a 5/8 ID clutch as I highly doubt anyone may make a 10 tooth for a 3/4 ID clutch but just putting it out there to see what all may be aval.
It's actually on a what appears to be an all original unrestored Snowco Nomad trike that I picked up a few days ago. I have not checked any further into it yet but I'm pretty sure the engine may also have the lighted set up on it. The top of the front end/fork plate is drilled for a light mount...
