It was probably just a hard-stop throttle limit... the stock DB engines are so wimpy, the previous owner was probably trying to get more performance.

So without the motor-plate, it does hit the cross bar.... :doah:

That green frame is NOT a (stock) Baja DB!

I fabbed that one... it's fairly basic, and really wasn't that hard to make.

Those are the tires they used to import them with... mine is an older frame, bought as a roller from a guy on ebay a couple years ago.

I like the flat-black.... a lot!

I have the stock tension/idler on mine, but run it on top of the chain....

The tank is backwards, but I'm working on a bracket for it... The rear fender is mounted how I found it... I tried it the other way, but it hits the scrub brake if turned around. The boots are an old poster... she's a little blonde cutie!

jimh, Those are the sleeves I used... they are thick enough to last but only bear against the inner race on the bearings, and they fit a 5/8" bolt perfectly. :thumbsup:
