I will test it out. I just dont understand how all these yourube channels that have been messing with these engines for years and have perfected the craft of building and tuning then, have fed me somewhat false info. maybe they are at a different altitude?
I mean that's what everyone is saying to do and that's my conclusion so far is to much fuel. I'm basically at sea level so I'm not sure it affects it. but I will try a smaller jet when I am home
well the plug was black when I pulled it. and before I installed the mikuni I checked the float level and it was decent but not perfectly level. I think it's running rich but I don't know. I'm just so lost right now.
here's an update. I have put the carb back to stock clip setting and have put it to 1 and a half turns out. I had the idle set a little higher and I started it up and was trying to turn the air screw to find the point where it idles the fastest and it wasn't changing at all. I pulled the plug...
I have one vent from where my fuel pump was and it is blocked off because I dont have a filter yet but once I get a filter I will have 2 places for the air to go.
