cutting the downpipe and replacing that chunk to the neck would be the best and proper repair for sure. but im not an absolute purist either, i would grind down that weld till it looked better then get someone heavier to stand on the foot pegs and bounce on it a bunch to see if it holds and go...

does the rear wheel have the sprocket still or is that something thats going to take some thinking also?

i like the black frame and the cream white tank color scheme with all the chrome... it really has a bad boy look... if you polished the outer edge of the engines cooling fins that would look so cool.

iv had good experiences with them except the ones i needed only came with a straight fuel fitting, so i had to remove and replace the fuel fitting with a 90 degree TecumsehPower #632527 fitting for $9.99.... but the carburetors worked fine

i like to clean and paint accessories with a little polishing here and there and clean up the frames original paint as a badge of honor unless its getting really corroded... but thats just me... i say do what you feel to enjoy your bike. there is no doubt that a nice shiny paint job makes a mini...
