I am in need of a Tecumseh gasket that seems to be specific to one engine block, the AH817MB, also the AV817, which was the vertical shaft lawnmower version. The gasket number was 510301. Multigrade oils will make smoke. Try SAE 30 or 40.

That is more oil than they recommend, but it keeps my carbs clean and I like the smell of it. No smoke and they do start right up.

I pour 1/2 cup into a 5 gallon can of gas. I add one quart at oil change in my 89 Chevy pickup, which holds a total of 5 quarts.

I love MMO. I use it in my gas cans all year long. DO NOT put it in air tools! It makes a dangerous fog in the air! In the engine oil, it seems to keep everything clean. @Minimichael , have you looked at Project Farm on You Tube? he is pretty thourough.

The seat is held on by those grey sliders locked into the two slots in the pan that tilts forward to access the battery. That one bolt doesn't hold the seat on. I believe it holds the lever to allow you to adjust the seat forward and backward.

I keep several on hand. Still more convenient for me and my back, that a big iron tank. The aluminums I can throw right in the hatchback.

It does look like that one bolt might hold the slide lock handle thing in place.

I believe that is a "multifit" seat and those grey inserts are for a mower with a different type of seat mount. I think they are only used as sliders in your case.

I don't think there are aluminum tanks above 20 pounds. They are used in restaurants for carbonated fountain drinks. I get them at Airgas when I swap out my empties.

I use 100% CO2 in a 20 pound tank. I always ask for an aluminum tank when I swap them out. Cast iron tanks are heavy. With my glasses, I need a big window in my auto darkening helmet.
