If you are opening up the engine and going to do all those performance upgrades ($$$), yes, by all means upgrade the cam as well. "Go big or go home."

That is a kill BUTTON. They have kill SWITCHES that are a toggle switch which you do not have to hold down- just throw the switch to on or off. I have this one on 2 of our bikes:

That situation is where a engine kill switch/button comes in REAL handy! If you do not already have one, install one on the handlebars next to the
throttle.

How far from Phoenix are you? The "Bearcat Twister" (Google it) was manufactured there, so there might be some of them still around. If you use social media (e.g., Facebook Marketplace) get on there and start asking around. Now THAT is a nice bike!

My experience has been a hit-n-miss with about 50% that do not run right and/or leak, while the other 50% work just fine. That being said, they are cheap enough that its worth giving them a try.
