Other than that, I love my GC160, Doesn't break the bank and you get Honda quality. My Briggs drinks fuel and doesn't make much power and is finnicky to start. My tec... is in pieces.
Did some test runs with the hybrid setup. Using only 12 volts its more of a burden than any advantage.
Pros:
Gutsy low end torque, it motored through wet grass no problem, the 2.5 alone doesn't have enough torque to get it to move on wet grass.
Regen braking works very very well. From...
Centrifugal Clutches
They are usually about $100, sucks because functionally they are the same as the smaller shaft ones.
I'm having trouble finding ones for 7/8" shafts myself. I found one but the price isn't that nice
Any commercial power equipment dealer should stock a pretty good variety of tires of that nature. Support the local guys.
Also if you are irresponsible enough to shoot a $1000 engine that doesn't even belong to you because you don't like it, I really hope you get whats coming for you on that...
Well a few updates. The first being that I programmed the microcontroller to perform all the hybrid functions. The bad news is, I wrote the program under the assumption that I could get a 5/8" shaft mounted hall-effect sensor. I can but for the low cost of $300. As of right now, just have it...
Here is my pride and joy '72.
Just out of curiosity, how do you like the single weber setup. I'm kind of pulling my hair out with my dual kadrons, great one day and a total dissapointment the next.
I just picked one up  well, assuming the guy comes through.
I think it might be a less than desirable model though, he did specify it has the output for self-propel. I'm not afraid of the challenge.
From the looks of it, you are running tillotson carbs?
I'm very impressed. I hope you don't mind a rash of people attempting this? I've always loved those lawnboys and I'm in need of something new for my lil indian.
Understandable, I would not not put thunderbolts even near an anschutz. Gander Mountain seems to have an insane amount of .22LR. I bought some aguila match ammo there. They also have some older seller&bellot stuff that is also nice.
Thunderbolts and Wildcats are six, half dozen of the...
Sure thing but in about a week. I have a torque converter coming for it that I need to throw on. I can tell you some specs though
It was a run of the mill 47cc china pocketbike engine, I burned up the clutch and then was suprised at the amount of parts they have...
It is now bored out to...
.22lr is about the only thing they are stocking besides shotgun. I got 2 boxes of CCI minimags (they cycle the best in my pistol) and box of shotshells. I've since bought a brick of Thunderbolts as well.
