Yup. No need for synthetic oil for break in. Common practice to use mineral oil for break in and use synthetic once she’s broken in fully. Modern cars and motorcycles will run synthetics from new but that’s a completely different animal. Small engines don’t enjoy their manufacturing precision...

Jaguar motor is just ridiculous. Carburetors are aimed directly at riders crotch and distributors on those pigs are directly in front of riders right knee. If the poor bastard hits a bump or crease on track he may knock plug wire off distributor cap and carburetor backfire would burn the hair...
