Here are some new pics. With electric start now, and key switch. Also a 600CCA Lithium ion Battery under seat. The 'bar ends' on the handle bar are for attaching my phone using it like a trail guide and to mount a usb charger.

I made it. It's 1/8" aluminum at bottom I added a circular area for the keys for electric start.

I haven't taken it on the trails yet. I'm also tinkering with it make sure everything is ready. I made it street legal but will soon hit the trails.

Ok, I complet;y emptied out the gas tank, sprayed just a bit of carb cleaner in the fuel inlet on carb. New filter, fuel line. Trying the non ethanol gas (90 octane)). I did notice the head bolts 1 or 2 were not tight (to torque). So retorqued all head bolts. Not sure if this could have been...

I think it's more flakey sooty and it smells a bit like gas or fuel

ok, will try that first before rejetting or down-jetting carb.

Ok thanks and np! When you rub finger inside the exhaust (at the end of pipe) finger is full of soot.

The additive or just plain using higher octane? or both? Had a buddy tell me should run with a highr octane.. could try and use the lower non ethanol stuff.. Thanks for the reply
