    Throttle Set Up

I’m building a Heald Super Bronc from a frame. I picked up a low hour HM100 Tecumseh, electric start, charging coil and 1” crank. It’s really close to the stock engine of the bike. I just not sure how I should hook up a throttle on it? I was thinking some crimp on Z bend? Would probably drill...

    Super Bronc Progress

I installed the Taylor muffler, seems to fit well and look good. I was hoping to install the Nelson muffler I had. It’s not stock but I had a plan to make it work. Using diesel heater exhaust pipe for the end would have worked decent I think. But it has a hole in it and needs welding and a...

    Super Bronc Progress

Progress on the Super Bronc. Is the belt supposed to be that loose? Is there a keeper to hold where the brake cable first goes through? I saw a picture where someone used a MC electrical wire clamp to hold it.

Does anyone have a copy of the accessory drawings for the spark arrestor for the Super Bronc? Taylor and or Nelson? Thanks

    Super Bronc Muffler

That’s not a bad price. I know Rick said he didn’t have the Nelson muffler. I was looking for something else on my Tecumseh microfiche and found the Taylor muffler there. It just said it was a 800 series. I didn’t see a the part number for it. Not sure if it’s the same one but it looked like it...

I thought the Taylor muffler was even harder to find? Looks great though! Was it expensive?

    Super Bronc Muffler

I found this Nelson muffler on eBay, that might work for my Super Bronc. It’s not the same but the can part seems to be the same size. I’m thinking I could put an elbow on the outlet and route it down. Not sure if an elbow would restrict exhaust flow enough to worry about, or if it would be a...

    Super Bronc Muffler

Someone gave me the dimensions for the Super Bronc Nelson muffler. They all have the number T-11892 stamped on them. I’ve searched that and come up with nothing. Now if I could find one with at least the same diameter, I could modify it to work. Found a few similar on eBay but usually larger...

    Super Bronc Muffler

Anyone know where I could find a Super Bronc can muffler? Looks like a Nelson muffler. Also saw something similar to it in the Tecumseh HM100 parts catalog for muffler options. Bike in the picture has the muffler style I’m looking for. Thanks

    Super Bronc Progress

We finally got some warmer weather so I was able to paint the wide front forks. So I started putting the Super Bronc together. A friend of mine made me a new seat cover, I made a new plywood base, I just have to staple the cover on, the foam is good. Any recommendations on installing seat...

    Super Bronc Progress

Installed new tires. It was a little hard to get the bead to seat but I finally got it. Loosely put it together to see what it will look like with the wide front end on. Still waiting for warmer weather to paint the forks. I need two 5/8-18 nuts and washers for the front but otherwise have...

    Super Bronc Progress

Progress is a little slow right now, it’s too cold to paint. I installed the new unpainted wider front forks to see how it looks. Cleaned up the fenders, installed taillight, new rear sprocket.

Found the basic Neway small engine cutter with the right pilots on eBay. Was very reasonably priced and in good shape!

    Super Bronc Progress

Decided to put the narrow front end on until I can find the wider front rim. I have a running 9.5HP Tecumseh but the crankshaft is only 7/8”. I have a 7/8 to1” sleeve but need the keyway to 1/4”. I might attempt using my mill/drill/lathe to widen the keyway. I mostly use it as a lathe. Will see...
