    What's on your rack?

Thanks for the compliment. Rugged and Utilitarian are the key words. I wanted to ease the wear and tear on my truck , something I could tool around the property and go places where my truck could not go, tote tools and small materials as needed and not have to cough up the money for an atv or...

    Lightweight suspension kart

Nice ride. Pretty cool. No expert but I do not think a leaf spring drag is a good idea. Have you looked at making easily removeable wheelie bars? Depending on how much throttle is needed to wheelie, you might look at a throttle stop. Or add about a 100 lbs. of removeable weight to the front...

    79cc Predator Throttle Controls

True. When I came across that link I was just looking at 79cc engines in general, not gx100 clones like the Lifan 152. @Tony gil Your engine should have a casting number stamped on the block. If you can post pictures of your engine. You're probably looking for something more like this set up...

Would building this with rear seat shocks be a goofy idea?

I doubt you'll want more than 1/8" to 1/4" rise from front to back of seat if those a typical spring shocks. Id probably wait until I had the seat mounted, block up the frame to ride height and see what feels good and looks cool, and back it up to a wall for that just in case feeling. :D

I’m thinking of electrolysis to remove the rust on this frame.

    79cc Predator Throttle Controls

You probably want to post this in the wanted section also. I would be surprised if at least 1 member on this forum didn't have 1 of those. This seems a little pricey to me...

    Low end power 196 clone

Can't answer the safe rpm question. There are a few members who bought the wildcat. Type wildcat 223 in the search function and send them a pm. I suspect that swapping the rev limiting coil and moving the governor spring to the far hole will get you to about 4800 rpm max. I suggested the 223...

    Low end power 196 clone

Yes, it has pull start also. It has been a while since I looked but EC has their own line of parts to upgrade with.

    Sprocket Size

Looks like a 196 or 212 on a frame that used to have a 97cc engine on it and probably weighs about 80 to 90 lbs. I would think that a 50 tooth sprocket on that setup would provide a decent amount of get up and go, even with a 200lb rider.

    Newbie looking for advice

I'm the opposite, I want a big red switch that I can hammer with my thumb with a return wire that goes straight to the engine block.

Carburetor Replacement for a Predator 212 Stock

Adding to what's been said above, verify your governor spring hasn't been modified. At the very least it probably has been moved on the gov. arm to raise the rpm limit from the stock 3600 rpm. Also, If you go with a stock airbox you'll want to get a hose for the valve cover to airbox connection...
