My point is they are talking about gas cap issue and not being able to remove it. There is no such issue at all, I don't want it to deter others from doing a TC install, it's a night and day difference.

That's an old video, 1.5" raise is WAY to much. There is no issues when raising it 1" whatsoever. A TC is an easy install, just raise and install kit.

Stock gearing I doubt, like you said 10:1...so even removing the governor I think the motor would run out of steam before 35mph. You need the long stretch to get there, like 8:1 minimum, 7.2:1 even better Now that the nice weather is here, I have to take some pics and post them.

yeah I was gonna try 6:1 and see how the TC acted. I use split sprockets so it's easier to change setups. So I'll go for a 10t and 60t like you said.

I'm hitting 40mph with a 72t rear, takes a little while to get there but it cruises. Iv done all calculators but that doesn't take the TC into play. I'll start with 6:1 and go from there.

You'll get the full potential out of the Tavs 0.9:1 overdrive using 72t. It corrects the gearing to 6.48 assuming your driven is 6" and behind that is 10t on jackshaft. You'll still pull a wheelie, but you'll see the difference throughout the powerband, also top speed increases. You should...

That clutch will always resort back to doing the same thing....you'll be cleaning that thing every other ride. They burn out easily on the ct200 with short bursts. Upgrade to TC and be headache free....I'll never look back. Takeoff is smooth, no more jerky studder action.

Thanks, I found out it's a Super Wheels kart by Carter , model 1708. I'm currently replacing the whole rear setup, will include rear disc brakes and split sprocket.

Ok so I was able to make a chain with no master link, loosen the jack shaft and slide it forward. Slip the chain on and slide it back. I marked the jackshaft before touching it, and comparing where it was to where it is now, a 1/4" forward. So the TC belt is 1/4" too big. I looked at the motor...

That's an easy fix, as long as the size is available. I haven't looked at motor plate, I will later.

On my carter kart, I'm installing the new chain , had to shorten it but I realized I prob need a half link. Of course for the RLV extreme performance chain they don't make them. So, if I adjust the jackshaft to take out some slack, the driven pulley will move affecting the belt for the 40...

What steel sprocket do you know of that I can interchange the sprockets to test out gearing?
