This new old stock engine that I am looking at is 33 years old, based on the numbers. What should I know and check before starting an engine that has never been run and has been sitting that long? I am sure it is not as easy as pure gas in make sure oil level is up.

When I looked up the model and code numbers it came back as a 74 3hp. The old clutch worked on it, until one of the pads shattered, with just a nut holding it on. How many threads do I need to be able to have a keyway cut a in? I am a bit new to all this, thanks for the help.
