Finally got the 65 skat kitty running great thanks to all your help , turns out it was timing and the junk cheap points . thanks everyone!

Thanks Markus . Ihad the timing at .065 and could not get it started. When i put it at .035 it started and ran good but is not starting when warmed up. I've changed carbs same thing i'm thinking that 80 psi is the reason?

Can anyone help me with the ignition timing of my engine ? i'm not sure if it's 0.065 or 0.035 BTDC thanks

Yes that's the same recoil i have but you are missing alot of parts . I'm sure they are at parts tree . com. good on you!

I've been working on a 1965 skat kitty and i rebuilt the clutch , Now it runs good at idle but i think the carb needs rebuilt or replaced . Any thoughts on which way is the best way to go? I'd like to keep the carb. Has anyone had luck with replacement carbs? Thanks Lou.

Does that GE clutch have a 3/16" key way and set screws? if not how did you keep it on?

I know it's almost impossible to find a 15 tooth 5/8 clutch.my old clutch shoes are brass , i was thinking of having them braised then grinding them down smooth?

If i replace my 15 tooth clutch with an 11 tooth how will it effect the skat kitty?

I've been working on a 65 skat kitty and it's running good thanks to all the help from this group. But the clutch is worn out ! It's a 5/8' shaft and 15 tooth . i think maybe #35 chain ? Having trouble finding one . not sure how to proceed . thanks
