Well, I'm having a little trouble getting the engine here. It supposedly shipped out today, but communication with the seller has been poor since he got his money. That leads me to believe that this guy may not be too truthful. I hope my assumptions are incorrect but I'll see soon enough

That's probably Tomsprops you are talking about. I actually messaged him about 3 yrs ago when I started the project. Right after that I had 2 babies and had some medical problems. I'm just now getting back to this project. If I remember correctly he uses a comet 30 driver on a rupp driven.

I don't have a driven unit or jackshaft but have found where I can order most of the parts for the jackshaft, but I've had little luck finding the driven unit. If I purchase a comet 30 kit will I be able to put the driven unit from the kit on a Rupp jackshaft?
