I am buying some chain soon & found some really cheap. If i buy cheap roller chain will they break while riding? Is there a heavy duty version as there is with some other types of chain, & if so is it necessary to use it?
why do we use #35 chain how much load can it handle
what would be better if dependability was your greatest concern.
I know people use 35 chain for some pretty powerful machines so what is the best 35 chain you can buy?

I am replacing my greyhound engine which has a TAV... for a brand new Predator 212 hemi. I just want to throw on a new clutch and continue to use the 420 chain that fits the rear sprocket. I considered using the old torque converter, but I was not sure if the built in key was compatible with...
What would the general consensus be on the needed clearance for a #40 chain? I have to space the sprocket out on my build off bike since I am running a slightly wider tire. I don't have any issues with any of the up and down areas. It travels over and under the swing arm with an inch either way...
Do anyone know what size chain the Coleman/Attex 2.40 takes? The one that came with mine has 3 master links and is too narrow. (looks like a bicycle chain) & no markings either... size and links would be a huge help. peace!!!:hammer:
I'm working on a Manco T-Bird with a 6.5 hp Predator. Regular clutch on the engine to a rear sprocket. 5.5:1 gear ratio.
The bike has a lot of acceleration and power. The new #35 chain I just put on snapped in about 5 minutes of riding.
I looked at it and it says China and 35. So yeah, cheap...
I have a 2 disc 6 spring Bully clutch I would like to part with. The drum does have some chain rash from the chain coming off but does not affect the performance. Comes with a 15T driver for #35 chain. $165 shipped.
Looking for good 420 chain. Like everything else there is good, better and best. BUT which chain really is a good long lasting quality chain?
