I love these, Never seen this version of one, I would guess its later (1974/1975) do to the decaling only becuase JC penney decaling went pretty straighforward/bland with the decaling around that time on all the bikes. Looks to have a longer seat area on it over the usually seen version...

1973, correct Tecumseh HS40, original comet cat 99 TC with new belt, cover, bearings, etc.. bike runs good also has new chain, and new tires, paint on the tank cover and shroud is all automotive urethane, and new repro decals. $750, would sell as a roller as well less engine/tc if you wanted...

got up real early this morning a trekked over to Orlando to pic this beater up. It's a 1973 JC Penney digger.....well it was at one time :laugh: Gotta give a full going over and work some numbers to see if it lives or dies yet but I always dug the fiberglass one piece tracker/trials/cafe...

Pretty much intact except brake cable, carb and breather. Lil rough chrome but fiberglass with no cracks or splits. Prolly have new seat made. Good compression. Haven't checked for spark yet.
