There's a MX track about 15-20 mins from my house that also has a flat track which may be 1/5th mile or just a tick smaller. The track owner has flat track bike/mini sprint/atv practices scheduled off and on during the summer months.I have a vintage rear engine go kart that I'd love to get out...
A tornado went through one of our riding spots and knocked down a few trees ...
We brought out the Heathkit Hilltopper twins,
The VT-8 ... back tire pressure was 10 lbs, front was 20 lbs.
.. and the VT-1012 .. tire pressure was set to 10 lbs ..

so, a question regarding end play. 3hp 80212 model I understand that in order to get end play with in specs the procedure is to check with the standard .015 gasket in place. if needed add shims and additional thinner gaskets to the .015 to get within specs. My question is this, my engine is at...
My predator 212 has so much crank end play that the flywheel fins are hitting the cover bolts. I want to replace the bearings. Does anyone know the size of bearings needed for a first generation non-hemi 212?

This was a Craigslist find, paid $100.
Front hydraulic disc brake
Rear drum brake
Frame is straight
Lots of welded on tabs for plastic accessories that were added
I'll just barely be able to squeeze the 212 in there, but I'll weld a new plate on to bolt it down.
This should be a fun...
i bought a frame and fork set last fall and am now getting it road worthy. i disassembled and repainted both. the forks have the inner springs that get held in place with a nut and bolt further up and through the upper fork tubes. i reassembled and noticed that there is a lot of play between...
I picked this up for $175. It's complete and runs great with the original 3.5 tecumseh.
There is about 1/8 inch of side to side play in each side of the rear axle. Is that normal or should I tighten the axle bolt to close the gap? Not sure if my picture worked. Thanks.
Hey I have this Ratech clutch on a Jacobsen 321 and I want to get a sprocket for the rear wheel that matches. Am I just measuring the pitch (tip to tip) and number or teeth to find out what would match? Does width come in to play?
Anyone have an extra head around that's not butchered up too bad? Some milling OK if its done right. I'd like one to play with while leaving mine as is. Prefer OEM honda.
Thanks.

Tab Benoit clip from Callahan's: http://youtu.be/5qVy1tZA2a4
This is only a small clip to show how close I was sitting. First row and I was using the stage as my drink table. This guy can really play the guitar and he sang his butt off. Quite the comedian also! I would highly recommend seeing...
I picked up this Go-kart last night with one Puch mopehead, two Honda 50cc scooter things and one Indian / Fuji 100cc trail bike (pictured in other forum here on OldMiniBikes). Can anyone tell is this a known make ? Looks like it will be simple for me to bring bake to life. Thanks !
My buddies and I decided to go out for some fun. One wanted to go to the water but the other said dry land was fine so we rode around for an hour then went to the pond. Haven't been out all year and I am racing in a Divisional championship in Michigan this weekend--need to practice. Great...
Got a chance to buy this mini. Would like an I.D. on the frame. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Current owner got it from the original owner and seems to think it's from 1979. I'm thinking older?

I've got some side to side slop in my chain. So much so that it occasionally hits the rear fender and makes a quasi rattle. Is this indicative of a chain that is too loose?
Hi - new to the forum - recently obtained a pair of Trail Sport minis w/3.5 hp Tecumseh engines that had been stored for a number of years, and fixing one up for my son for Christmas - the torque converter has some play in the rear pulley, the bearings etc. all seem good but it is loose where it...
I have a pack mule with a tecumseh power sport 6.5 and I've notice it has quite a bit of crankshaft end-play. I didn't measure, but estimate 1/16" or so.
There is no wobble.
How is the end-play adjusted on these?
Is it just by using a thinner gasket?
Thanks!
