I am in the process of cleaning up my original 69 sprint. When I removed the swing arm I noticed that the pivot bushing is froze to the swing arm. This does not seem right to me. Isn't it supposed to stay anchored in place by the end bolts so the swing arm can move up and down??? Someone please...

ok...on disassembly one bronze/brass bushing came apart the other is there..am thinking i need to replace both sides..the shaft seems ok with a little polishing....what is the easiest way to remove the existing bushing? 20 lb sledge and widget? any suggestions would be appreciated...:shrug::scooter:

The Campus bike used a different swingarm for each side of the bike. The left side (as you're sitting on the bike) used an arm like the one in pic#1 below. The right side used an arm like the one in pic#2 below. Pics#3 & #4 show the proper swingarm and how the brake setup is supposed to look.
