i have an arco bushwacker, putting a HF 212cc predator on it. my friend who knows everything :doah: swears that i need a chan tension welded to the frame. he has a doodle bug and alot of people say you need it for that.
needs another fews coats of paint
so far i have this and yes im changing...
When eliminating the governor completely and siliconing the hole closed, don't forget that over revving will stretch the spring on the automatic decompression mechanism mounted on the cam. All of a sudden you won't be able to start your engine. Too much compression. You need to replace the...
[B]Hello Folks,
I am new to the forum!
I have a tote gote model 403 that I have just installed a new belt on. Any tips on what my belt tension should be? at idle the belt just starts to barely engage. At high rev it struggles to reach peak speed with vibration. I am new to this...
Can anyone tell from this video if this chain is too tight? This is how it was when I bought the thing. It seems tight, but when I ride I hear it clanking on all sorts of things.

Not finding what I am looking for in searches....perhaps someone can lead me to locating the elliptical shaped washers that are used to adjust chain tension on my Rupp Continental?
I'm installing my 212cc predator on my tri sport trike. There are extra holes drilled for engine mounting for diffrent engines. I'm not sure what home to mount my engine too. So how tight should the belt be. Totally new to the comet style clutch.
Thanks Ken
Soooo....how high is high tension? I'm wanting to order a stronger spring but not 100% sure which one.
As for now the mods consist of gov removal, pipe, jet kit, and cone filter with adapter.
Future mods will be a billet flywheels and billet connecting rod.
I don't want to buy...
I made this several years ago and it works so awesome I wanted to share it with you . you drill 2 holes in your motor plate and bolt it down so the center bolt lines up with the rear oil drain plug then loosen the engine mount bolts a little and turn the adjuster bolt until you have the tension...
When you check chain tension, say you want 1/2" - 3/4" of play, When you measure the play, how hard do you push on the chain? It makes a big difference if you just kind of lift up/down or actually put a little bit of force on it. Because when its about 3/4" when you apush a little it still...
My chain on my bike kept falling off so I made sure the clutch and sprocket lined up. They did and I can't take link out. The chain stopped coming off but it wiggles to much. Should I have a tensioner welded on? I don't have a baja bike but would that tensioner work?
The chain on my warrior is not tightning right. It is tight in one spot and lose in the other. I was wondering if this has happened to anybody else and if there is a fix for it. Thanks
I madea tension wheel to keep chain slack minimum but I think the spring is too stiff. I have to lean on the seat, pry back tension wheel and holdfin place with a bolt, then I can barely put the master link in the chain. What am I doing wrong? is it suppose to be tight or should I try a softer...
I'm having a problem adjusting the tension on my new DB30. Using a straight edge I have the clutch sprocket and rear sprocket aligned within a fraction of a millimeter. The problem I'm having is the tension is different over the travel of the chain. It ranges from being too tight to too loose. I...
I was wondering since my rear rim and or sprocket is not true (wobbles) a bit if when it hits that little tight spot if it effects the performance such top speed, acceleration ect.. and also I can only get it to work with about 3/4 to and 1inch of play. Is that to much? Can it also maybe be a...
I'm so close to having my Duck completed and I've hit yet another little challenge. Just wondering how to tell if a chain is worn/stretched beyond ample wear? Everytime I try to tighten up the chain tension, it ends up loose after tightening the engine bolts.
I'll slide the engine forward...
im gettin tired of my block slidin back on my mounting plate. i understand that chains can stretch. how about welding a nut on the plate at the rear of the engine at the bottom (idk 1/2 inch give or take) and using a bolt as a adjustable stop? or how ab putting same size mounting bolts in the...
On my mini i've got chain tension problems, when you roll the bike the chain goes tight, loose, tight loose, ect. like the sprocket isn't round. Is this common? or is this a big problem?
