thread?

I need a new bolt for my sink drain air filter, but what thread is it? I went to the hardware store today and of course got the wrong thread. Any help is appreciated.

I remember reading a pretty good write-up on repairing kickstands when they wear out, and allow the bike to fall over. Just did a few searches, and I can't find that thread. Can anyone help? I remember it had some great tips in it, and I need to make repairs. Thanks in advance- H Dave
