Is there any good reason i should put a washer between this collar, which is part of the drum brake, and the frame before I tighten down the nut on the rear axel? I cant remember if there was one before I took it apart. A common occurrence in my life...
Yes it is a scrap yard find.
So far it looks good as a spare motor for one of my minis.
There is a small blemish in the upper end of the cylinder yet you can still see original honing swirls on the cylinder walls.
Best thing I like is the engine cover has bolt bosses for the pressure washer...
It's no mine I'm not buying it I just think it is interesting
https://treasure.craigslist.org/bfs/6172754991.html it probably has a tapered shaft you would have to look up the model number
Where can I get the crankshaft shoulder washer that goes between the clutch and the crank shoulder ?
I cant find it, and I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be one.
Project: Western Flyer SS300 with a new 79cc predator.

I am a proud new owner of a 1974 Harley Davidson X90.. After cleaning the carb I can get it to run with the Choke pulled up but it dies as soon as soon as I close the choke.
The mixture screw does not have a little rubber O ring and small washer on the end... I know not all carbs do but the...
Anyone have any experience with the small 6.5 gallon bench top parts washer from Harbor Freight? It looks a bit flimsy but I only need it occasionally and don't have space or $ for a large unit. Pump reliability would be the only real concern I have. My alternative is the slightly smaller one...
Okay, I have a commercial (Zep) parts washer. John doe individual cant deal with Zep. They are a bunch of ... well you know if you deal with them. At least they are here where I live. I am looking for suggestions for a cleaner to use in it that works good. Never was overly impressed with the Zep...
I'm sure this has been asked a 1000 times, but what size bolt/thread size is in the crank to hold the clutch on. Trying to put one on a Doodle bug (new style)

The January 2016 Mini Bike of the Month is OND's 1967 Ruttman Washer.
OND purchased this mini bike off of Ebay in May of 2014. The bike reminded him of a bike he had when he was a child.
The engine is not the original, but is a "period correct" 1961 3hp Briggs and Statton. Engine is stock...
Any vertical shaft experts on here? I'm building a pressure washer.
I have two, good running, Briggs & Stratton Quantum vertical shaft pressure washer engines and I'd like to use the better of the two but I'm not sure which that is.
Engine 1: Model 12H802-2349-E1
1998 model year

Homelite is the name on the pressure washer motor. Took it off last night. Did alot of cleaning to carb and gas tank etc. Went to go start it. Where the hell is the throttle?! Had no way to slow the motor down. Is there a plate I have to make or buy to make this a mini bike engine?
Here the Ruttman washer that I haven't decided on a design for some time. Well, I have a theme.. Lol The motor is a 74 5hp Briggs that got off a tiller some time back. It was a good runner. The motor was rebuilt. The eye brows removed and was ported. The rod was replaced with a ARC billet...

saw this being done in other threads and thought i would
give it a try. it didn't work too well. i used a spark plug
to chuck the head, not the best idea. the washer must be
moving around:
i might try removing the washer or turning a piece with the
threads on it. my little lathe has...
I picked up an old Rupp to restore.
I have it painted and am putting it together. I put the swing arm back on the frame the same way I took it off, but it doesn't make good sense to me.
It attaches with 2 bolts and lock washers into threaded inserts in the frame, and that's it...
If I tighten...
Hi, just found this site. Great site which leads to a few questions. I have a minibike that has been in the family for almost 50 years. I am curious on what kind of minibike it is. From what I've seen on here it could be 60's ruttman washer although it looks like some of the Lil Indians are...
