10 hp kohler

Has anybody ever thoguh of using a 10 hp kohler that is fully modded? I know my feinds tracor pulling engine is bringing out about 52 hp (that has been dynoed) Also his dad is a professinal kohler engine builder.

they sell everything billet rods,cams,valves,carbs,billet cranks,je pistons.
The cams can have the biggest lift to fit in the block of 662 lift. the valves can reach up to 2.100. The carbs are alky or gas. and the blocks can be bored .70 over.

If you don't mind an engine that weighs more than the average minibike, Kohlers are great. Expensive as all heck, but very reliable, tough, and they have quite a following with garden tractor pullers so aftermarket parts are easy to find.

Vogel Manufacturing
is another company that has stuff for them including Jones blocks, bearing carriers, heads, cams, etc.

That was some good stuff. They can make even more power with better port angles. But the motors are so large they need any more power.
