Hi folks,
I was working on my CT70 that has a rattle can paint job (painted over 20 years ago by PO) that is ugly and was thinking about doing a paint job. I had tried to get the paint off many years ago with less than spectacular results on the forks. So I decided to try again with a variety of solvents. Gas, paint thinner, mineral spirits, and acetone. I thought acetone would melt everything but got some surprising results. The acetone cut thru the old rattle can paint and revealing the original paint. The job would be pretty easy if I disassembled (probably will in the near future) but came. out pretty good.
