going to rechrome the handle bars clamps and headlight.starting on the engine

heres my hs50,I dont know what someone was trying to do to the main jet,its filled with epoxy,maybe some one thought it was a drain and lost it?Welded up the primer holes and starter switch holes in shroud removed paint and rust and starting to polish,Going to install points try a kit in the carb and check valve lash

installed tank decals,put a baffle in exhaust used a inch ,half frost plug drilled four quarter inch holes tapped it in with a socket and tack welded it,I can get at it with a drill if I need to enlarge them.The shroud that I welded has pinholes and pits spot welded them up twice.was going to chrome it but when I polished more show up.going to skim filler over it and paint

working on polishing,removed the chrome and rust with my die grinder and fiber discs,I have polished the handle bar clamps headlight pot and have one side of the handle bar done,a couple more pieces to do then of for chrome

just finished polishing ,had a few more items for other projects I wanted to do just running out of time .dropped off at chromer and hes running the line tomorrow

picked up my chrome ,filled my shroud primed and painted engine will let it harden all week end,checked valve lash replaced points cond. checked timing,going to use a china carb,and using a recoil generator

ran the engine remover exhaust and intake,painted didnt install fuel line through shroud thought I would run it external to the tank but was too close to exhaust and didnt look right,I fished the line through the shroud so I wouldnt damage the paint removing shroud,got it through hit the throttle a few times and key sheared so much for trying to save paint,checked recoil generator and its working.working on the chain guard hope to paint this week end

painted chain guard on Saturday and it turned out a mess,repainted today looks good will post later.For brake cables arctic cat have there own the ends are threaded and the adjuster keeps it centered,Im using standard cables,using 3/8 clevis pins I drilled and taped them for 1/4 set screws

repaired chain guard ,filler,primer spot putty more primer,repainted for the second time .made a forward mount for guard that mounts to engine,installed light and toggle switch at the bottom

working on the gas gauge cut a 2 inch round plastic for the face with it flat the needle was rubbing. heated it up and put a crown on it,going to drill a vent hole and glue it on

been riding bike, stretched chain adjusted,exhaust midway was red just under 500 degrees drilled 3 more 1/4 holes in my baffle temp dropped in half,I have a total of seven 1/4 holes in my inch and half baffle ,runs great going to take some pics and video

Fantastic job! Like the chrome sprocket, toyed with the idea myself but my caliper has to bite it!
