A friend of mine asked me to do a video on how i bring a 1970s mini bike back from a pile of parts, since he saw my garage of minibike hell. Anywho, it kind of spun out of control and into a nine part series of rescuing a 1972 Speedway Red Baron. This is just how i do it, and do it on a budget. It certainly is no high-end restoration, and it's certainly not the only way to do this stuff. Note i don't do any re-chroming (too laborious for me personally), and i don't cover rebuilding the Tecumseh HSxx (i kind of gloss over that, as it could be a series of videos all by itself.) But here it is, part one of nine... Links to all NINE parts are in the youtube text below the video...

WOW! Will watch the whole series! Looks like a mini cycle fantasy! I would bet money there was never a dealership of the "best bikes" like that selection! I dont see any of the sachs powered silver shadows black shadows or widowmakers? Do own a pinball museum?

i don't have any Sachs speedway models. frankly, i've never found one in the wild. and even if i did, i'm not sure i would buy it. i know *nothing* about the Sach motor or where to get parts. i'm pretty familiar with Tecumseh, so i just stick with that.
