2 stroke carburetor compatibility

I have an EC10D 2 stroke 98cc engine, on an MTD Trail Flite, and it's a pain in the butt . It runs some days, but I can't just hop on and ride. I'm guessing it is the carburetor (which I have cleaned a few times, and the diaphragm looks intact).

It came with a German Bing 33/Wacker Neuson style carb which has no float and bowl, but rather a "fuel pump".

After a little search, it looks like a new carb like that is over $400, OR the diaphragm/gasket kit is $90 + shipping. I can't justify that price!

Is it possible to swap on a "float style" carb on this thing? Possibly a hs40 carb? Or any of the cheap eBay clones?

I just want to ride!

If the carb is below the fuel tank, yes. You. WILL WANT adjustable high and low fuel system. On a two stroke, you do not want to fool around changing jets.
Find a carb that will fit the intake flange, that also has adjustable idle mixture and high speed mixture. I have a couple of Clinton Panther (98cc 2cycle) carbs I can send to you if you want to them.
I buy old Tillotson chainsaw carbs from eBay for my smoke motors.
I have a bunch of two strokes, and I hate float type carbs on tgem, unless they are bolted down stationary. On a bike, they act funny over bumps and in turns. If you lay it down and flood it, you may need tools to get it started again.

Would you happen to know what wheel bearing the MTD Trail flight 10-in wheel uses?

I have a normal sealed bearing cartridge on the front wheel, and loose ball bearings in the rear. The rear takes 14 balls and some grease, all info I got came from this forum lol.
