2hp briggs in NC

Thanks JK...I like the looks of that. It reminds me of the 3 hp that was on my Mike Bike as a kid.

I have a little Cat 250 frame I picked up last month, thinking I'd like to put this 2 hp on there for my kids to ride.

Not having used a 2 hp on a mini before, I am wondering if it would pull ok ?....I know our Arco with the 2.5 greyhound motor does fine, I don't see why this would not also.

I just texted him, to ask a question about the shaft type and size.

Thanks again,

Robert C

JK, that is a nice gesture.

Robert C, the first mini bike I had as an adult- LOL, in my fifties actually was a Cat 250. It came with a 2.5 Briggs, and at 240 LBS, pulled me as fast as a small frame bike ought to be pulling anyone. No problem with going up the hill (paved) or accelerating. IMO, that Cat with this engine would be the ideal combination for kids under 14, with not a lot of riding experience. It isn't so fast and heavy that the scrub brake is overcame even with me on it.

Thanks for the encouragement folks....it sounds like I have struck a deal over the phone, and plan to pick it up tomorrow after work

I'll let you know how it runs.....

I'll then have a 'runner' for my cat 250x 'roller' !

Thanks again,

Robert
