4.00-8 tire

#1
Can someone help with my search? I'm looking for this size tire in a aggressive tread pattern for dirt and mud. I only have 1/4 inch to spare between the forks. Thanks for any help.

Shinko makes the Golden boy tires in that size, tread pattern is a copy of the bridestone's that were on Z50's. They are very affordable. A set came with beater bike I redid, since I didn't restore the bike the tires didnt matter so I used them, I really liked them. These were 10" but they are available in the 8" as well

the shinkos are on the front and loose on the ground

correctly mounted and aired up.

Markus is correct , I run those on my Powell and Bonanza in 8" but if you want aggressive I'd go with Sno-Hog , just not sure of inflated width ? I ran them on my sons Murray , I think they were 4.80x8 so likely too wide ?

The shinkos worked well for me at the Gambler race. Never really lost traction except In tight corners when I grabbed a lot of throttle but pretty much any tire is going to loose traction in that instance.
