6.5 clone coil gap

I searched and didn't find a definitive answer; what is the suggested coil gap for a STOCK 6.5 clone? (Particularly the 197cc on a Baja Warrior, if it matters) I already checked the user manual as well, no luck.

Yea, 30 thou, but those things in stock form will usually run as long as the coil is anywhere near the flywheel. My buddy's gx200 ran with enough space to fit a pencil between the coil and magnet

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah mine is set about a quarter inch out, it fires but misses at higher rpm. Gonna set it to .030 and see what happens. I'll update as soon as I can.

.030 feeler gauge .....if you don't have 1. You can use a Business card, Food it in half then slide it between your flywheel an magneto...
