1. so the idle seems to be really high and i dont know how to make it idle slower, i tried turning that little black screw on the carb but it seems to make know difference

2.also the clutch seems to be smoking after i ride it and i dont know if it should be doing that

this is the engine i from cjtmini

i am new to engines so any help will be appreciated thank you

i think that black screw is the only idle adjustment on the carb.

are you sure the throttle is hooked up properly and not being held partially open for some reason?

be sure the choke is off too.

There is a 10mm nut on the throttle linkage and it needs to be loosened. Also, a throttle return spring would help. The idle is pre set. Something needs to be backed off? It should not need screw adjustments.. Check the tension on the grip and see if the cable has any slack?

Mentioning cjtmini is a dis.>

that's like saying "hey guys, i figured out how to cure cancer" and just leaving it at that.

message boards are about helping, lots of people could benefit from you letting us know what fixed your problem (if new people knew how to search :thefinger:).
