Yes the adapter was made from a piece of aluminum stock. Then drill it for the two 7/16" mount bolts. And do a big hole down the middle for the intake. it takes a bit of work to make one. Not mandatory but it really puts the carb in a better position.

Another Rupp popped up, 1970 roadster. Will start work on this Rupp getting the frame in order. The motor is original with the diaphragm carb. cfh

Nice find! The muffler looks pretty nice! Make sure you put some penetrating oil on the heat shield screws. Those break off very easy. What are your plans? Are you going to clean up the bike, or restore? Good luck I'll be watching.

Well i took it apart. Man it's a bigger mess than i thought.
Going to re-do the frame. As much as i would like to keep the metallic blue, i'm not sure i can. The other choice is that Rupp burnt orange/red color used in 1970. That burnt red would be easier to do. thoughts? cfh

Gas tank before any work. it needs some help.



The conversion to burnt Rupp orange is complete. Need to do some re-assembly and work on the motor...
