I'm still puttering around my garage, building stuff. Latest idea is a Schwinn powered by a mower engine. I have wanted to do that since 1967. I got this engine and another one, a 4HP from @superflea last year when I was up. New valves, hone job, seals, recoil ratchet, NOS pulsa jet. After so many Tecumseh's this has been a real joy. It starts up first pull and runs smooth. Idles down real low. I'll start on the 4HP next, while the 1964 middleweight Schwinn is getting blasted.

Let's see the Schwinn. Started something like that in 1960 ( when I was 12 ) with my 26" bicycle frame. Never got it far along enough to actually ride it. Will be watching your progress.

I haven't seen a 4 stroke "big" engine on a bicycle since...well, I can't remember. Small 2 stroke utility engines, tiny weed whacker noise makers and the Chinese kits that are currently available, but no "mower engines". It will be interesting to see how you overcome the obvious challenges of width and gearing. I had a small Tecumseh HSK600 above the back tire of a Schwinn 10 speed, friction drive tire shredder in the '90s, but that idea won't work here.
