80232-0016 coil question

I have a very nice 3hp nos copper engine for my Lil Indian 600 project
5/8 crank shaft was switch out for 3/4 so I can use the double sprocket for the 2 speed setup
The new crank is for magnatron ignition/no indent for the points plunger
I can find a magnatron coil that will work with the air vane governor
Has anyone come up with a solution for this

Briggs part # 591420 (I recommend the OEM Briggs coil, NOT the aftermarket version)
It will also come with the metal plug for the points plunger hole you install in the block.

Here it is the 591420 armature just doesn't have the rivet to hold the top of the air vane governor
I think we can come up with a way to hold that
I want to use the governor
The point plunger plug gas been installed

That looks like an aftermarket coil to me. They did not have the mounting "rivet" to secure/support the governor air vane like the OEM did.

Its not an aftermarket Mike
Its the genuine article they just don't make for use with an air vane governor anymore
That's why I started the tread

Maybe there was a revision change. 1 less hole in manufacturing is probably about 5 cents per part. Make a few thousandparts it adds up.

mchadsey may very well be correct, however, you can still find the original style out there (I bought 2 on eBay about a month ago) I did find an OEM one on eBay that does have the rivet(maybe there are others?):
