it is a JC penney model cat, this is the closest on I could find, No stars but it may have been a anther year or upgraded model.

you may get lucky, that looks more like clay and mud than anything else on the frame/guard. Might clean up real nice!!!!

What ya thinkin then. Some thrown together?
Other than the wheels it looks like a 250. I have looked thru brochures and you are right. None that I saw had stars.

Seller did contact me. He says a buddy says it could be worth something. From some mini bike forum.
Not in the shape it is in. Not worth much with jacked wheels,no seat, needs total resto, from what I see.
I did not offer him more than it is worth. More than likely,I am out. Not overpaying for nothing anymore.

If the bars are separate it's not a 250. It also has the stars in the wheels which were not on a 250 from the factory. I believe Markus is correct on the Penny's version of a 300x?

The jc penney on the chainguard is sort of a dead giveaway:wink:

Just because it has stars does not really mean much, I'm sure the penneys auto center had a wall of parts for the bikes in their hayday, that stuff came in carded packages:

Couldn't see the Penny decal. I'm rolling a new IPhone and just getting it set up. I was basing it on the paint scheme as it looked original.I agree that many went out the door with parts that were on hand lol.
Looks like a good bike Buckeye. However if you haven't ridden one they are small.

Tells me the rims are totally rusted. Unusable. So basically a frale, fender and chainguard.
May look at it. He wants a bit more than I offered. But said call him in a couple weeks??
