Just wanting to know if any members collect slot cars?I have been collecting ho scale slots for some time and just curious if any one else does.Get in the attic and bring them down i might buy some.I used to have a huge 6 lane track that people would bring thier cars and race.Gave us something to do in the winter. But i took it down because everyone was drinking my beer.lol.It always goes back up in the winter.I have over 250.What the heck,we all like small and fast right.

yup iv got 25 or so and 3 different styles of track. I see youve got the HO scale thats what iv got. Never had a set of the bigger ones those are the really collectable ones. We set them up under the xmas tree every year instead of a train set. much more entertaining

I will be listing several on Ebay in the next few days. I have hundreds, but I only collect Aurora T Jets and AFX. No Tyco. If there is a specific car you are looking for, let me know. I'm trying to thin the herd. My 4 lane track is almost done. I'm only keeping what I race. Everything else will go eventually.

I got my old Tyco slot car track the big one and a cliff hanger set, also a lot of straight track I bought a long time ago. Maybe 24 cars. Its been in the closet for a long time, I need to get that out and set it up again, it was always fun.

My Grandfather had a HUGE 1/32 track when I was a kid. a few years ago when he passed away, my grandmother gave me boxes and boxes of 1/32 cars that we had raced back then ( I never knew that he had saved them). He had always wanted a routed track but never got around to it. after grandma gave me the cars, i routed a track in my shop and built it on pulleys so it can be pulled up to the ceiling when not in use

I have a few, a couple of old aurora's I have had since the sixties but mostly AFX's and Tyco 440's and a couple off brand Nissan zx300's, I think they were called Amrep's I even have a couple of AFX Porches that have tail lights. I had a track layout that was 96 feet long with a 19 foot back straight that those 440x2's really covered quickly! I gave all my track away about 15 years ago though. Got about a dozen cars still in the packages. Oh yea, I almost forgot about the motorcycles I have four of those too.

My 1st boy destroyed most of my cars (Now 23) ... Flipping them off the track and landing on the ground ... Still have a bunch of H.O. track with loops and high banks and about 4 or so cars from the Cole Trickle days (Days of Thunder) and a couple of older ones ... Just been in the closet for 18 + years ... Now my 2 almost 3 year old found boy found them lately and wants to play with them ... Then I'm sure I'll have none ... I still have about a thousand Johnny Lightnings ... Nascar and Hot wheels hidden in the attic ... Along with a dozen or so Unmolested Tonka trucks GI Joes ... Batman and every other super hero including Evel Knievel from 20+ years ago ... Why do we keep this stuff

I gave all mine away probably 10-15 years ago but I didnt have all that much.

I did modify my tracks so each lane/car had its own power supply.

I always hated when my brother would let off the gas just as I was entering a turn causing my car to surge and fly off the track he was good at that.
After the mod each lane had its own power and you got all the juice with no surprizes.

I just took two sections where you plug the power/controllers in and seperated the wires under the track where they tied in from the opposite controllers then you could place those sections most anywhere around the track. It had the benifit of seperating us and having someone at each end of the track to help reset cars.

I miss slot car racing but I am more into micro RC's than anything and now with us being older and doing are own things we never get together like that anymore.

Does anyone have monster truck slot cars ???

I had a bunch of that stuff when I was a kid and I ebayed it a few years back. just last week I found an early 70s Tyco set in my moms hose, complete with track, controllers, power pack and cars-had a Gulf oil Porche and a GT40? I think? Anyway I swapped it all to my buddy for a NOS Lil Indian brake caliper. I have no idea what those cars were worth but boy oh boy was he happy.

Ooh, let's see a pic of that, please. I've got a bunch of Tyco HO stuff from the 80s. Had a big 4-lane setup in the basement of my old bachelor place, but it's in boxes now. Many late nights there w/my pals. We preferred open-wheelers - F1 and Indy car bodies. I'll see if I can find a pic.
