Anybody have a Cub Cadet lawn tractor? I have a stupid question ❓

In all honesty Karen, I'd get rid of that thing ASAP. We had a new one from my inlaws estate and it was shiny garbage. It should be a crime for what they sell for, wait until you have to replace the blades. I've never seen blades wear the way these did (rotted on the noncut side), turns out it's a common problem. Lot's of issues with the Kohler powerplants as well.
Not trying to trash your machine, just speaking from personal experience.
Also, those bolts on the seat bottom were missing on ours as well.

I'm not seeing them on an exploded view. I have a cub cadet but not that model. From looking at the exploded views looks like they just used the same part for the seat adjustment slides that also interaces with the adjustment lever. Just the other two slides only need to keep the seat sliding along the guide rails in those two positions. Does the seat feel loose?

According to a few online reviews, some people love em. I can honestly say I never used it to cut grass, but I did run it around the yard for a bit. The hydro was pretty responsive and the turning radius was awesome. The rest of the machine, not so much. Used lightly, it could last you years. I was a bit shocked when I saw how expensive they were, but then again what isn't these days. I sold it to a guy and (happily) delivered it 100 miles away.
If you look at the one bolt you have it is on the increment side for seat adjustment. The vacant holes are on the free-sliding side. I have had a lot of Husqvarna riders and they are all just like yours. I think they just make them all the same as a cost savings. I wish you had asked for advice as to what to buy. Cubs are MTDs just like John Deeres and I haven't heard good things about either. I have to mow every other day. The only reason I got rid of my last Husky was to move to a Zero-turn Husky. I have gifted my old mowers to my sons over the years.

Ultima. Bought it about 5 years ago. Been pleased with it. I mow 2.75 acres with a hilly terrian about once a week for 6 months of the year. Then mulch leaves maybe 3 time for a month, till I put it away for the winter. Overall it has been a good mower to me, though somehow the deck leveling nut, washer, and lock nut fell off after one season. Put a new one on and haven't had an issue since. I assume it's because the shop I bought it new from didn't get it locked down properly.
It feels cheaper than my old mower but... My old mower was a 22 year old Yazoo kees commerical grade mower. So my newer residential grade cub cadet isn't going to be as well built. The biggest thing I miss is going from a 48", 3 blade deck on the knees to the 46", 2 blade deck on the cub. Of course the 3 blades had a much better cut.
I didn't go commerical grade because of price. Looked around and the prices were making me feel like puking.

Karen, I believe those missing bolts are not missing.. I think that seat is made to fit many different models. The seat is anchored at the hinge at the front so it is good. I think the missing bolts are are not needed. I'm heading to Tractor Supply tomorrow morning and if they have any of those mowers left aroundfrom the season I'll lift some seats and see.. I really think the bolt you do see is related to the slider..
